Dr. Monaco operated on my dog twice for TPLO surgery. Although he came highly recommended, I was extremely anxious about the surgery and it’s recovery process. Dr. Monaco was not only knowledgeable, compassionate and accommodating, he is highly skilled in his profession. My dog did exceptionally well after his first surgery. I strongly believe, as with any surgical procedure, the outcome is a direct result of the work of the surgeon. When my dog needed the same surgery (TPLO) the second time, I did not hesitate to contact Dr. Monaco even though he was now in a farther location than where his first surgery was performed. Knowing the skilled hands my dog would be in was a comfort beyond measure and I would have driven hours for this peace of mind if necessary. I can not recommend Dr. Monaco strong enough. When it comes to the care and well being of your beloved pet, this is hands down the surgeon to see.
Dr. Monaco performed two complicated hip surgeries on our beloved cat, Pablo. That was five years ago, and Pablo has been as strong, active and healthy as a kitten ever since. We will always be grateful to you Dr. Monaco!
Dr. Thomas Monaco performed an incredible surgery on my doggy daughter Storm that saved her life. Storm has never been fond of doctors, like most kids, but she instantly bonded with all staff members especially Dr. Monaco. At 89lbs, I feared removing her weight bearing toes would leave her handicap and in extreme pain during a lengthy recovery. I was in awe she came into the waiting room galloping, wagging her tail with a huge smile on her face. Her pain was virtually nonexistent, managed perfectly for her needs. Dr. Monaco checked on her frequently and truly cared for her well being even weeks after her operation. He was patient, kind and knowledgeable and did extensive research on my dog’s issue before hand. Storm is completely recovered and has full use of her paw. Cosmetically, her little foot is as cute as can be! I would highly recommend Dr. Monaco and his staff for all surgical needs.
Dr. Monaco operated on my beloved lab after he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. Prior to the operation, my previously lively boy could barely walk and was in excruciating pain. Dr. Monaco was extremely thoughtful in telling us our options for him, including an amputation, and was honest about the prognosis for a dog with amputation but no chemo. After doing extensive research and upon Dr. Monaco's recommendation, we chose to move forward with the amputation of our lab's front leg. He was able to return home to us the next day, and he was able to move around right away. It has now been almost 2 months since his operations, and our lab is 90% back to his normal self -- he's able to do all of his favorite activities, including playing with his best friend, our husky. We not only emphatically recommend Dr. Monaco as a surgeon, we also highly recommend amputation as a way to extend your dog's life with osteosarcoma. While it may sound scary to humans, after doing research and seeing the results firsthand, dogs do very well with three legs.

Dr. Monaco recently performed surgery on our Husky. It's almost like our dog went through a time machine, he's got his old energy back and is doing great!
Dr. Monaco has performed 3 surgeries on 2 dogs of mine and did an amazing job every time. Not only were they successful but he took extra time to really make us feel comfortable and informed. 100% my go to if one of the boys is in trouble.
Our Kitty had 2 tumors in his ear. After several visits to our regular vet, medications and a biopsy that didn't produce results ($$$), we made an appointment with Dr. Monaco. He came highly recommended by a veterinary Dermatologist we had also seen for this problem. Dr. Monaco met with us and explained in detail what had to be done. He did not put Gumby through more testing. He was very comfortable in his diagnosis and made us comfortable in knowing that the surgery he would perform would be the best thing for our 10 year old cat. He removed the tumors and his ear canal to prevent future growth. Dr Monaco was very fair in his charges for the surgery knowing that we had already spent so much money getting to this point. After several weeks of recovery, Gumby is deaf in one ear but has adjusted and is back to being a happy cat. Dr Monaco followed up with Gumby's progress during the recovery period. We are so grateful to Dr. Monaco for his patience and expertise.
This is the greatest doctor I've ever met in my life. He saved two of my dogs' lives. Very friendly, professional, courteous staff and Dr. Monaco is just a really cool guy. We highly recommend him for surgery.
I was recommended to Dr. Monaco by my vet for my doxie’s small issue that he had requiring stitching and some reconstruction. Even thought it was kind of far we took Toby here and had an exceptional experience. Dr. Monaco talks to you in a professional manner and thoroughly explains everything to you, he really knows what he is doing and you can tell he is very passionate about his job. He did a beautiful surgical job and Toby now has no issues. I will be 100% coming back if anything else happens to my Toby because I know he will be in good hands.
